Sponsorships

Under its auspices, the Collodi Foundation supports numerous socially-oriented cultural activities (editorial, entertainment, scientific-educational) connected to The Adventures of Pinocchio or with Pinocchio as ambassador. Organizations, institutions, or individuals pursuing objectives similar to the Collodi Foundation’s may apply for a patronage.

  • the Ugo Guidi Award from the museum of the same name in Forte dei Marmi;
  • the Erikson publishing house for printing passages from The Adventures of Pinocchio in the Italian book in the third-year class using Camillo Bortolato’s analogical method;

  • the competition about Pinocchio for the Municipality of Cantù’s pre-school/nursery and primary schools, organized by the sculptor Ivano Rota to introduce children to crafts and wood carving;
  • the Zaches (Scandicci) and Matuta Teatro (Caserta) theater companies for their respective adaptations of Pinocchio;
  • an exhibition of artist's whistles dedicated to Pinocchio, organized and promoted by the Municipality of Massignano (AP), at the Civic Terracotta and Whistle Museum;
  • "The Land of Toys" at the Pontassieve Municipal Play Center;
  • Bedtime Stories: Readings from Collodi’s Fairytales read by Enrico Paci as part of the 49th Festival of Nations, in Città di Castello (PG);
  • Daedalus Academy for re-staging the ballet, Scenes from the Life of Pinocchio, based on choreography by Loris Gai for Pistoia Italian Capital of Culture 2017;
  • the "Vivolibro" event, promoted and organized by the Bottari Lattes Foundation in Monforte d’Alba (Cuneo), dedicated in 2017 to The Adventures of Pinocchio;
  • the "Vet For Africa" initiative, Bologna ACLI, made up of students, teachers, and veterinary doctors, is currently working to construct a new library in the village of Hanga (Tanzania). The initiative is co-financed by the Italian Episcopal Conference and intended as training support for local schools and children;
  • the International Study Conference "Senza giudizio e senza cuore", organized by the Catholic University of Milan and the State University of Milan, with a presentation by Daniela Marcheschi, Collodi Foundation board member overseeing the Complete Works of Carlo Lorenzini.
